Story
I’m running in the Edinburgh Marathon Hairy Haggis Team Relay on Sunday 27 May to help raise funds for a charity which is very close to my heart - SNAC (Scottish Network for Arthritis in Children).
My daughter Sophie was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis when she was just 2 years old. 12 years on and unfortunately she still has the disease and it looks like she will have to live with it for the rest of her life which breaks my heart.
She has gone through a lot in her short life but is a very resilient little girl who hasn’t let the disease stop her from enjoying a full and happy life.
SNAC is a relatively new charity which wasn’t around when Sophie was first diagnosed. We as a family would have benefited hugely if it had been. It is run by parents of children with arthritis on a voluntary basis and needs as much support as possible.
Money raised will help SNAC provide a range of activities such as phone support, parent educational days and residential weekends for children and their families from all over Scotland.
Your donations no matter how small would be hugely appreciated. My individual target is £100 so if everyone I’ve asked could spare just £1 I would reach that easily.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my page and an even bigger thank you for donating.
