A close friend of mine was devastated last year with the loss of someone so close to her and Friends of Anchor helped her and her family through the toughest year.  She found encouragement, support and solace in the staff of Anchor and has great praise for the work that they do.

She has rallied a number of people into running the Baker Hughes 10K in memory of her Dad and to give something back to Friends of Anchor.  It is unfortunate that everyone will be affected throughout their life by the devastation of cancer whether it affects them directly or family members or friends.  Many people know of the great work that Cancer Charities do to research and find cures for the disease however often those behind the scenes supporting and offering a shoulder are forgotten. We will all be running to give our thanks to these wonderful people.
