Story
On 3 August, I'll be trekking 100km within the Artic Circle with 100 other employees from HSBC's offices across the globe. We will be heading to an area which is completely uninhabited, carrying our own gear and camping out in the wild. I'll be leaving my gorgeous son Rufus, husband Dan, training partner Ted the cocker spaniel and our fat cats Wombat and Badger behind. Training for this challenge and completing it will be a physical and mental challenge, but we're raising money for Wateraid, which is a fantastic charity helping people get access to clean water and highlighting the huge crisis the world has with the state of our water systems and seas. Each morning I travel to work by ferry across Hong Kong harbour and see first hand the desperate state of our oceans. I'm increasingly worried about how we tackle this enormous problem and Wateraid are making real change for this cause.
All the money you donate goes to Wateraid and I'll be paying for my own trip.

They get the chance to go to school and grow up to become adults. Women and men get to earn a living. Whole communities start to thrive. It sounds normal and it should be.
