Story

Right, here we go again!

This marathon will be my toughest yet, for a few reasons.

I had to say goodbye to my Auntie Brownie, who passed away in 2011. My Auntie Hazel passed in 2008.

This is also for all the others i have known that are no longer with me and my Uncle Ellis who is ill at present.

I want to thank all my running buddies, You know who you are!

For all the help and support you have and will continue to give me in order to achieve my goal.

Up at 5:45, went to Ballymoney, met up with Kenny and Frances for a cheeky wee 13 miler! Damp and Dark, hooked up with the rest of the Springwell crew who were on their normal Sunday run.

13 Miles banked towards London!!! Yee-ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

15 Miles- and boy what a 15.....Felt as if i was running on cement.Windy, windy, and more wind, all that was missing was the frogs and plague of Locusts, tough run for all.

12/02/2012- Early start 7.00am, nice and mild for a change! Last week was slippy underfoot, no good, saw a flock of Swans, nice way to start a long run as My Uncle Jack had passed away the previous week. 18 miles done today with help from, Kenny, king of the hill, Frances for company and the Breakdown crew of Debbie and Rebecca+ the Springwell massive!!!!!

03/03/2012 -Another early start but Saturday this time- panic because feel not rested enough, but 7.00am off we go again for a little 20 miler........Yes it was done Kendo as always testing us! Got it done with a help from Frances....keeping me going. And another 20 this weekend.............

11/03/2012- Another early start and Another 20 Miler completed with the help of Frances, thank god for public facilities:-)!!!. It was a tougher run than usual as my Uncle Bertie passed during last week and his funeral was yesterday, thought my mental stamina wouldnt do it, I done him proud though, It was a lovely dry morning and Kenny didnt punish us with his usual hill routine. Loads of support from the usual 2 Debbie and Rebecca who we met on the run.

01/04/2012 Another 20 miler done and dusted!!! As always Kenny was trying to punish us for annoying his sunday with a lovely Hill workout. Kenny lasted 10, Frances and me kept on going for another 10, tough going and the last 20 before my London Adventure.

London 2012- What a day, Big crowd, Big Expectations on myself, this was the toughest one yet as a lot of emotion came out on the run. Powered through it and i got my Bling. Since i started this page my Dear Uncle Ellis was unwell. We lost him on the 26/04/12, He was a proper gentle soul who will be very sadly missed, This is the reason i keep going, to help those that cant. Thanks to all who have donated for this worthy cause and those who helped me train for the Marathon, you know who you are:-)

As i start this journey this sums it up "What do we live for ,if it is not to make life less difficult for others".

The London Adventure will soon beginThanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
