The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

Within a few days of running in the 2013 Great Manchester 10K in May last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At that time I set myself a personal goal that I would be back to run the 2014 race. Unlike last year’s race which, for me, was about getting a fast time, this year it will be a way to thank everyone for the care and support I have received at The Christie over the last year. I am really pleased that so many of my friends and colleagues have taken up the challenge of running the 2014 race and joined me in The Christie Challenge Team. Together we are raising money to provide a complementary therapy service for patients receiving treatment on the Clinical Trials Unit at The Christie. Thank you very much for your donation.
