The FireFlies Antipodes Tour No.2 · 18 March 2017

Blood cancers - leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma are the third leading cause of death from cancer in Australia. The Snowdome Foundation raise funds for blood cancer research to help accelerate new treatments to Australians with blood cancers helping them live longer, better lives.

Story

If you know me, you’ll know I love cycling. If you’ve been to my house you’ll know I really love cycling! This isn’t the reason I’ve
chosen to join the FireFlies. I like many others, have experienced first hand the devastating affect cancer can have on a family. I lost my dad to cancer 11 years ago. He battled for 7 years, never once giving up or failing to believe he could beat it. In comparison, riding a bike up some bloody big hills for 5
days straight seems like a walk in the park. I know from FireFly veterans that I am massively under estimating how hard this ride will be. But it will be no way as hard as fighting cancer.

Many thanks for your support.
