First Impressions is a new scheme being run by national charity Shaw Trust across Hampshire to ensure unemployed people are ready to impress at job interviews.

It will support hundreds of people currently claiming incapacity benefits and the Employment and Support Allowance for whom low confidence and self esteem is often the last barrier to returning to work.  By offering people advice on interview technique, smart clothes and a new hair cut we’ll ensure that everyone we work with attends interviews ready to come off benefits, get the job they want and fulfil their potential.
