Story
Well, we made it! Through mud, freezing water, rain and hail we completed the course (without taking any "piglet options") in 1:08:05. That was 5th (out of 47 teams) in our category ("Senior Male"), and 10th (out of 128 teams) overall. The sprint finish really took it out of us, but now we've forgotten that, next year's event beckons!
Official photos of the event can be found on the official photographer's site - some of which have been collated into an album of photos that contain us (password is "iome"). There was also an article on the East Anglian Daily Times website about the event.
So a massive thank you to all of you who donated - it is very generous and I'm sure the East Suffolk Alzheimer's Society will put your money to the best use to help those with Alzheimer's disease.

On November the 7th we are going to do "The Whole Hog" - run around 8 miles and do "all manner of tasks and challenges". By which I imagine army-training-style assault course obstacles like muddy water tunnels, slippery poles, monkey bars etc. It will be very wet, muddy and cold.
We're raising money for the East Suffolk Alzheimer's Society - the local branch of the leading support and research charity for people with dementia and for those who care for them. By 2025, one million people in the UK will have dementia. It is likely that you, or someone close to you is, or will be affected by dementia.
So please donate some money - it will be very much appreciated. Don't forget to GiftAid it!
Thanks very much,
Matthew, Harry & Sam.
