Story

Hi. How are you? Are you well? Grand.

Now, Michael Robinson and Joe Fitzpatrick are running the London Marathon. That is surely the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard, and I am glad we have made that part of your life.

We are running to raise as much money as we can for the National Deaf Children's Society and here are a couple of reasons why we are doing so :-

Michael's two lovely daughters were born deaf. NDCS provided vital support to Polly and me from the very beginning. I want to help them help other parents who find themselves in a similar position. Simple as that really!

Joe is running to raise money for NDCS because I was shocked by the idea that 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents. Imagine that, ten fingers ten toes, healthy and hearty, but you don't know how to communicate with them. How can you get over that without help??

Raising a bit on here will go towards continuing the incredible work NDCS does for families across the country.

Please give what you can, and also keep an eye out for the fundraising events we are organizing. They will be different and in many ways strange, but they will all share two things: they'll be awesome fun and fantastic fundraising for the charity.

We can't thank you enough, but do come and see us at the pub and we will certainly try.
