So this year I’m stepping up the challenges to raise some more money for Alzheimer’s. A condition that affects so many. The impact of this cruel disease affects not only the sufferer but all those who love and care for the person. I would like to raise a bit more cash this year in support of the Alzheimer’s Society who do amazing work in this field to support families and raise much needed awareness. Creating a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I will be starting my challenges in April completing a Sprint triathlon in Chirk. I‘m then going to test my nerves by completing Snowdonia‘s longest zip wire and travelling up to 100 mph hanging from a bit of rope! Then I’m really going to test my fitness by completing a Super Sprint triathlon in the grounds of Cholmondely Castle - this is a big challenge for me because I’ll be swimming half a mile in open water for the first time, followed by 44km on the bike and then to finish off an 8km run to the finish. And then to wrap things up I will be fulfilling a lifelong dream (I had the chance to do this a few years ago and bottled out!) to cycle from London to Paris with 19 friends and colleagues from work - over 200 miles in 3 days.

I have had amazing support for all my endeavors and I appreciate it all. I hope you can support me once again.....
