You may be wondering why an old crock like me who has already had knee surgery for arthritis would ever consider doing a half marathon. Perhaps I should just hang up my running shoes?

But when I saw the presentation leaflet for Gentlemen's Night Out and read about the kids they have supported...and looked at my dear little grandson Fin..... I really didn't have a choice. This new charity, We Are Making A Difference, has been specially set up for the Birmingham Half Marathon. Every penny raised goes to this amazing cause, it is a local charity and everyone who gives their time gives it free.Go to the GNO website to read more.
