I was 60 on the 23rd September and celebrated by running the Great North Run this year for the first time. I'm  giving all my birthday presents to the children's charity Barnardo's. I told everyone I know that instead of a present I just want them to sponsor me for the run. So I hope you will give me a belated birthday present too by sponsoring me. I'm a Vice-President of Barnardo's and I know through visiting the numerous projects they run how vital their work is. They make an incredible difference to children and their families so let's help them to put smiles on children's faces.
