Flora's Leeds RAG National 3 Peaks 2017

National Three Peaks · 5 June 2017
I am completing the National Three Peaks Challenge in June 2017 with Leeds University Raise And Give (RAG) Society in aid of the charity War Child.
For those unaware, this well-known UK mountaineering challenge involves walking up and down the highest mountains of Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. That means I'll be scaling the 1345m Ben Nevis followed by 978m Scafell Pike and then finally 1085m Mount Snowdon crammed into one tiny day. On top of that, Ill have to fit in eating, sleeping and the massive 10 hour total drive between the three.
Whilst I am a keen hiker and generally quite athletic, this is definitely going to be a drastic challenge that I'm hoping I haven't underestimated. However, I WILL complete it (because I'm ridiculously stubborn, determined and hate being wrong) so can promise that all donations to my chosen charity won't be going to waste, not that any charitable donation ever is.
War Child works at supporting children in war-torn areas across the world. They do so by keeping children safe during conflict as well as educating them and equipping them with the essential skills for a promising future. Whilst my 24 hour challenge will be tough, to say the least, I doubt it can compare to spending 24 hours as a child surrounded by war. Please read more about the aims and success stories of War Child at https://www.warchild.org.uk/ .
I am grateful for all donations, of any size, to help me towards my £300 goal.
