Ronald Gordon Foad, my darling dad, lost his brave battle with Mesothelioma (an asbestos related cancer) on 29th August 2010 aged just 69.
He had the most phenomenal care at Forest Holme Hospice in Poole, Dorset and my family and I can't thank enough every single member of staff who made his last few days as comfortable as they possibly could. They enabled us to be a family whilst continuing to care for his very specialist needs and their support for us as a family was second to none.
Forest Holme relies heavily on personal donations and it was the family's wish that, instead of flowers at his funeral, donations be made to this very worthwhile charity.
