Story

Mogwei is a 7 year old pug cross who came to us due to
health problems. Once he had been seen by our vet we discovered that he had inter-vertebral disc disease, meaning that his back legs would begin to fail and that he would lose the use of his back legs.

Inter-vertebral disc disease  is a condition where the cushioning discs between the vertebrae of the spinal column either bulge or burst  into the spinal cord space.

Mogzie is such a happy little soul who loves life and
is always happy to be out and about with his carers. Quite often during his physio sessions he will fall asleep and curl up between his carers legs, lapping up all of the attention.

Since being at Foal Farm Mogzie’s legs had begun to
deteriorate. Our Dog Team decided it was time to buy him some wheels so he could get about at ease and continue to enjoy his life.

We are glad to report that he has taken to his new wheels extremely well and can be seen whizzing about during his walking times with his volunteers.

Harvey is a 9 year old pug x who came to us as his
owners were unable to care for him due to health concerns.

Harvey, similar to Mogzie has spinal problems which means that his walks are limited as he struggle with balance. Harvey is still mobile and enjoys pottering around our exercise paddocks. Like Mogzie, Harvey
will be undertaking physio to ensure we can give him the best
life possible.

We are now appealing for funds to cover hydrotherapy for our two special boys. Hydrotherapy will vastly improve Mogwei's abilities and we hope that it will delay further deterioration in Harvey.

Hydrotherapy and wheelchairs unfortunately come at a very high price. We are reaching out to our kind supporters, asking that they please consider donating to Mogwei and Harvey's long term care.

A dog's ability to exercise is so integral to their happiness and if we can improve the mobility of these two boys then we will sleep easy knowing that we have done everything in our power to maintain their freedom to run and play.

Please consider donating even £5.00 today - every little helps.

Thank you.
