Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

April 18th started off at a chilly 5 degrees but by lunchtime the temperature had soared and the thousands of spectators enjoyed the sun whilst enthusiastically cheering along over 7500 runners!  Apart from a little blip at 21/22 miles, the race was enjoyable and very emotional (particularly crossing the finish line).  I finished the race in 4 hours 35 mins so thank you everyone for your generosity and support.

This fund raising page is dedicated to Muriel Rayer for everything that she has done in her life - the many people she has inspired and motivated, all the young people she influenced and most of all for being Muriel.

Sadly Muriel lost her battle with cancer on 4th January 2010 after an extremely brave fight.  In her last few weeks, Muriel agreed for this fundraising page to be created to raise money for the Countess Mountbatten hospice which supported Muriel and continues to support her family.

I have chosen to run for this charity as a thank you to Muriel in recognition for everything she continues to represent -please support this charity.

On April 18th 2010 I will undertake the first ever Brighton Marathon - 26.2 miles and all with a smile on my face! Can you help by making a donation so that I know every step of that 26.2 miles will mean more money for Countess Mountbatten helping many families in their difficult time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
