Story

'FORD TEAM JILL' TO RUN CARDIFF HALF IN AID OF MARIE CURIE

Six Ford runners are training and fundraising for the Cardiff half marathon in memory of a Welsh PR friend.

'Ford Team Jill' was formed at the October 2009 funeral of Jill Roberts, late wife of Western Group and Guild motoring writer Robin, when the press office's Bob Wright, wife Bev and Oliver Rowe decided to sign up for the 2010 Cardiff half marathon.

They have since been joined by Ford press officer Dan Jones, Oliver's brother James and the Wrights' friend Rory Stone.  Marie Curie Cancer Care, whose nurses looked after Jill at Holme Towers, Penarth, is also benefitting from other events this year organised in her honour.
