Save Forest Owlet Appeal · 9 August 2012

BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership and the world leader in bird conservation. We believe in a world rich in biodiversity where people and nature live in harmony. We offer that hope for the future of the planet but we need your help to achieve it.

Story

Thanks for visiting our Forest Owlet appeal page and helping us save this extraordinary bird from extinction.

Our national Partner in India - Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) - has recently started new conservation action for this globally-threatened species supported by The BirdLife Preventing Extinctions Programme. There's much to be done while the chance to make a difference remains.

Your donation will fund urgently required conservation, like direct action to prevent the relentless loss of its natural forest habitat through encroachment and illegal logging.

Your support is vital to this work and will make a real difference to its success. So please, dig deep, donate now and help us prevent another tragic extinction.

Reversing the rapid decline of a species like this is very difficult but our experience shows it can be successful with the right resources and individuals like you can personally make an enormous difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to us and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please make sure you add your email details when you donate so we can keep you informed about the conservation action you are supporting.
