On 24th July 2011, after months of preparation, four best mates will attempt to summit Mount Toubkal, North Africa's highest mountain, in aid of MCAI (Maternal & Childhealth Advocacy International).
Vikram Bangara, Ryan Nehru, Daniel Kim and Khuram Nagi, four best mates for over a decade now, will brave the Moroccan heat and arduous conditions of the Atlas Mountain Range, to summit Mount Toubkal, standing at 4167 metres above sea level.
MCAI (Maternal & Childhealth Advocacy International) is a charity dedicated to saving the lives of seriously ill pregnant women, children and babies in countries where there is extreme poverty. With improved training, care, medicines, equipment and advocacy many deaths can be prevented.
Since 1995 MCAI has been saving lives and preventing suffering through better healthcare.
We personally believe in supporting MCAI, not only for the amazing work they do, but also for the inspiring way in which they carry it out. As a small charity, their intentions are true, and 87p in every £1 donated to MCAI is spent on charitable activities. This, we believe is not the same case for many more well known charities.
Where your money goes:
£10 - can provide two healthcare workers with vital equipment to resuscitate critically sick children
£300 - is what it costs to treat a child in Cameroon who has the childhood cancer Burkitt's Lymphoma
