Fr George and the 3 novices arrived safely in Radley after covering approx 120 miles on their bikes in 4 days! The weather was not kind either.
If you have half an hour to spare, please have a look and see how Fr George and the novices got on, and maybe find out more about Charles Gore in the process. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qRz7dXsX2I

The target for the series of bike rides is £10,000 plus - Fr. George raised £3158 from the first ride in October so we're pushing hard to keep that good work going.....please help to spread the word if you can.
The 2nd in a series of long-distance cycle journeys took place 20 to 23 April from Birmingham to Oxford, via Worcester, and this time Fr. George was accompanied by the 3 novices, Dennis, Jacob and Daniel.
The route chosen visited the three places where Charles Gore, the founder of CR, was at some time the Bishop. The route followed cycle paths or small country lanes, apart from brief sorties onto main roads.
Please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you!

An exhausted but elated Fr George has completed the bike ride, clocking up 122 miles over the 3 days.

The Superior, Fr George, is planning a series of long-distance cycle journeys on a vintage Bickerton folding bike. The first covered 101 miles from Bede’s monastery at Monkwearmouth to Mirfield, linking the monasticism of ancient tradition with our current calling here at Mirfield to live out that tradition in 21-century terms.
This happened 29 – 31 October
All donations will go towards the Centenary Church Appeal - aiming to raise £1.7 million in total to restore our church.
