Story

Hey, you! Thanks for dropping by. You're looking great, have you lost weight?

Some people may be aware that I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and have had for the past four years. (I know, me - it's like a person has a finite amount of energy for a lifetime and I've used mine up in record time!) I was hoping to raise some pennies for people who help people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I had to find a sponsored event that wasn't going to be too exhausting (obviously), but that would also be really difficult. Et voila:

I'm going to give up tea for the whole month of October.

Now, this might not seem like a big deal to people who don't know me all that well, but let me just say that I'm completely addicted. Me and tea get along just marvellously. The idea of not having eight or nine cups of hot tea every day is, frankly... well, I'm getting a little misty just at the thought...

I really hope you can spare me a £ or two - Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / M.E. still isn't all that widely understood (I'm v vocal about it to redress the balance; poor old Adam...).

The people at JustGiving say: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So I'd appreciate any help you could give me (recession not withstanding).

Updates of my crippling caffeine-withdrawal headaches on FaceBook.
