I am taking part in the Dragon Boat Race to help raise funds for Beating Bowel Cancer - a charity who carry out invaluable work to raise awareness and give support to those whose lives have been impacted by bowel cancer.

I lost both my parents in 2009 to bowel cancer - they were taken far too early in their lives at just 67 and 68.  My dad fought the disease for 6 years, but my mum was caught far too late and died just 3 months after full diagnosis. I miss them both terribly and want to do my bit to spread the word around symptoms and help others prevent the disease before it takes hold.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe  – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
