On September 4th I'll be swimming a mile in Lake Windermere for MacMillan Cancer Support. It's going to be a big challenge. I've been a swimmer all my life, but I've never swam this far in open water. It will be cold and I have to admit I'm scared!
Last year I injured my neck swimming and was worried that my swimming days were over. I'm delighted that I've recovered and am looking forward to training so that I can complete the distance and hopefully raise some money for this great cause.
