<p><span style="color: #333333; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">In memory of my Dad, who passed away last year, I am swimming the distance of the channel over a series of seven consecutive days (due to work commitments) in a 25 metre pool for Cancer Research UK. It is my one off charity fundraising event in memory of my Dad, so please give as much as you can and I promise not to bug you for any more money ever again!<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>How far in how much time?</strong></span><br />21 miles in 7 days. I'm planning on swimming three miles a day. That’s a total of 192 lengths of a 25 metre pool to reach my goal of 1344 lengths. Luckily, I can have use of the pool for three hours a day for my mile an hour pace…<br /><br /><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>When and where?</strong></span><br />If you want to show some support (or make sure I'm not cheating!), just head on down to Brentwood School Sports Centre during the week Monday 8th August until Sunday 14th August (times to be confirmed). Note: if you’re coming to watch the final leg on Sunday, please greet me with alcoholic beverages as I get out of the pool – I'm gonna need them!<br /><br />Thanks again for taking the time to read this and many thanks in advance for your contributions.</span></p>
