For those of you who know us well, you will know that every year we help to bring together a team of people who are as passionate as we are about raising vital funds to support the Institute of Cancer Research in their quest to find cures and treatments for cancer.

This year, we are celebrating 29 years of the Climb of Life and 10 years of raising funds for the Institute of Cancer Research.

As we grow older, it is unlikely that you haven`t been touched by cancer in some form, either personally, or through a family member or friend. I certainly know a number of people who have experienced it, and due to the treatment that they have received, they have come out the other side and are living full and happy lives.

Sadly, there are some for whom the outcome is different, and it is here that we need to help! You may have heard about recent breakthroughs that have been found in the treatment of cancer, and it is exactly this that we are asking for sponsorship for. It is these breakthroughs that will help to find the treatments and cures to eradicate cancer.

So this year, we are leading a team climbing the Langdale Pikes in the Lake District. it will be a personally poignant climb for Frances, as it is the first mountain my late brother, Mark, ever climbed with me.

So please dig deep and donate, we know you get asked by so many for sponsorship for good causes, but please do spare us what you can, every little really does help.
