<p>Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.</p> <p>I support Dignity's work because its a small charity that works at grassroots level in hundreds of villages in rural Africa. We support local churches and communities to reach out and meet the needs in their own villages. HIV/Aids orphans have been fostered, the elderly cared for, crime rates have dropped, all because people "heard a call" to meet local needs. In many ways rural African villages have lots in common with our western world - they have poor, lonely and elderly people. These people are often at the margins, invisible. But through Dignity's "Love Your Village" programme, many villages have started groups which meet to see how they can reach out in whatever way is best. Over the past year, more than a hundred new groups have started in Zambia, and the work is spreading to Angola and Tanzania.</p> <p>Dignity's costs are low, but the funds you help to raise will go towards supporting the expenses of Dignity's outreach teams and publishing costs of our "Love Your Village" books - it takes less than &pound;100 to help start a new group; and then amazing things happen!</p> <p>Your details are safe with JustGiving &ndash; they&rsquo;ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
