At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This November I have the great privilege of co-leading 35 colleagues in a cycle ride from the Pacific to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.  As a team we will raise over £140,000 for the Alzheimers Society and Alzheimers Scotland.

The funds we raise will go to support carers for people suffering with dementia.  I know this will have a huge impact - it has impacted my family, and the families of many of the team who will join me on the ride.  We'll be able to make a real difference to the lives of many families, and I want to make all the difference I can.  I know that we can go well beyond our £140,000 target and we'll be doing lots of activity over the course of the year.  However, I and the team need your help to do this - please support in any way you can.

And if that doesn't do it then you should know that our expedition starts on November 8th, the day after my 40th birthday. This means I can have my existential crisis in tropical sunshine.  If you really want to contribute to my sense of ageing then please make a donation and leave your abuse below!
