<p>Epilepsy is a serious neurological condition that affects about 1% of the population. Too many people still die from epilepsy and further research is needed to help those with the condition.</p> <p>&nbsp;The Epilepsy Society is a charity very close to my heart. I have lived with epilepsy for over&nbsp;30 years having experienced some terrible lows and desperate moments.&nbsp;However I&nbsp;am very fortunate that my condition is now controlled with specialist medication and I live a near normal life suffering only from occasional nocturnal seizures.&nbsp;Many other people are not so lucky however and their condition is either not diagnosed or treated with the wrong medication.</p> <p>The Epilepsy Society is a leading medical charity that provides cutting edge research into the causes of epilepsy and provides expert care to those who suffer from severe forms of the condition.</p> <p>The research and care is expensive and is dependent on charitable donations.
