Incredibly, here I am registered, paid up and committed to run a half marathon!! Me.. the sickly, asthmatic one that smokes! To be fair, I have been practicing and despite the aforementioned impediments I am confident of completing the distance. I would like to think I could do it in less than three hours. Who knows?

It would be great to be able to raise enough to put one person through our wonderful training scheme, the Addaction Next Project and to this end I have a target in mind of £1500.

As an added incentive I intend to trim down to more whippet like proportions over the next couple of months. This will mean less weight to carry on the day and also help me achieve another personal ambition which is to fit into the sparkly blue dress hanging uselessly in my wardrobe. Pictures will be available of this seconday event later in October.

So, if you want to see the sick boy run then wear a dress it's gonna' cost yuh so please dig deep.
