Little Hearts Matter is a national charity offering support and information to anyone affected by the devastating diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition, children born with half a working heart. We work to support and raise awareness of the needs of these children and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The 17th of May will mark 2 years since my cousin Harry passed away at the age of 14. Unfortunately Harry was going through processes to allow him to get a heart transplant but he did not quite make it and suffered cardiac arrest on the 17th May 2011.

Harry was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which meant that only half of Harry's heart functioned properly. Harry had open heart surgery when he was just days old and had been taking medication all his life but he was still an active kid; he loved cricket and football, and supported (and knew everything about) Ipswich Town.

To raise money for Little Hearts Matter and to mark two years since he passed away I will be shaving off all of my hair (and there is a hell of a lot of it, trust me).

Me and my family would appreciate it if you could help us support the work of the charity of helped Harry and his close family all his life by donating anything you can, even if its just a quid or two. Only about 200 children are diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome each year and Little Hearts Matter do so much to support them and their families.

Thanks guys, and just to note, my hair will be coming off on Wednesday (the 15th) so if you fancy watching..!
