Despite the fact that I've already taken part, I still really need the sponsorship money. I'm aiming for &pound;53 initially as then, with the rest of my boat, we will raise &pound;1,000 for charity. It was a great day - that I was called in for at the last minute - in which we came third. We raced along the Trent and did a lot better than we expected.</p> <p>The NRSB (Nottingham Royal Society for the Blind) is a local charity and a worthy cause that specifically organise the race to raise money. So please give generously as they make a big difference in Nottingham.
