Story

Aloha Friends:

Thank you for visiting my Rotary Fundraising Page for the UK Ironman Triathlon.  Through this race I am trying to qualify for the Hawaiian Ironman in Kona on October 13, 2007.  It would be the 25th anniversary of the first time I did the Hawaiian Ironman at age 40 in 1982.  I finished again in 1992 at the age of 50.  Now I want to see if I still have it at 65, as I believe in the Ironman motto that "Anything Is Possible."

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me, as Rotary-IronmanUK Triathlon Charities will be able to put your donation to good use ... faster.  Plus, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in recouped taxes will be added to your gift at no cost to you.   If you are a non-UK taxpayer, I will personally add an extra 28% to your gift.  How about that?

All donations go to Rotary Charities and are tax deductible to the extent of your country's tax laws.  Rotary is the oldest and largest Service Organization in the World with over 1.2 million members in over 160 countries.  Its motto is "Service Above Self,"  which I have taken to heart since I first joined Rotary in 1987.  I am currently a member of the Oakland #3 Rotary Club in California, where I am involved with the World Community Service, High Adventure and the Enterprise Institute committees.

Aloha,  FRED
