Story
I am running again in the Mayfair Park and Tower Race to raise money for Galvins Chance. The Galvins Chance programme began from a series of conversations concerning the growing issues facing young people in London – the lack of opportunity, real and perceived; the attractions of gang membership; disillusion and disaffection, leading in some cases to crime taking root in young hearts and minds.
As the needs facing young people for employment continue to challenge our society, I hope that Galvin’s Chance continues to contribute to the solution and to make sure Galvins Chance keeps going I need your help. An easy way to help is by sponsoring me for this run, it wont take you more than two minutes to do but the donation you give will go a long way in helping to change the future of a young persons life.
This run is no ordinary run; all participants have to run 4.5K around the Serpentine in Hyde Park, then through the underpass to the Hilton London on Park Lane. Once at the Park Lane we have to run up 28 floors to the finish. It’s a difficult run, but it’s for a good cause, so dig deep and give generously!
