The Christie charity provides enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds. Your support can help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving projects that will benefit cancer patients both now and in the future.

Story

So what’s it all about?

Well, Staples 2 Naples (or S2N) is an annual banger rally and this year we are joining in. It’s a bit of fun but we thought we’d try to raise some cash for charity along the way… hence this page.

On Friday 17 September 2010 we joined a load of other teams in old bangers to drive to Naples, Italy, over 4 days.

“However, like all great rallies, S2N doesn't start at Staples Corner. Plymouth Dakar doesn't start at Plymouth. And Paris Dakar doesn't start at Paris. Nor does it finish at Dakar, for that matter!

The S2N rally starts at Calais. The idea of starting at Staples Corner on a Friday morning at 7am is something close to a motorist nightmare.”

We got off to a shakey start (the car wouldn't start on the first day) but once we eventually got going we had a relatively trouble-free trip.

We made it to Naples (not everyone did - in fact not everyone made it as far as Dover!) and even made it all the way back.

Not bad for a 19-year-old banger!

So please dig deep and support us and our chosen charity, The Christie... a very worthy cause.

Thanks everyone.
