Hi, once again I am going cardless this christmas, as everyone who knows me is aware I am absolutely rubbish at remembering to give cards at most times of the year and even more so at Christmas. Every year I buy tons of cards spend hours writing them all and then manage to forget to post them out. I started thinking how much money I have wasted doing this every year for as long as I can remember. Surely this money would be better spent helping animals in need. Freshfields Animal Rescue is a charity that is pretty close to my heart as my mum and sister have had several animals from there and are both involved in fundraising for them.
This year instead of buying Christmas cards that will just clutter up a cupboard for twelve months before I give up and throw them out I am going to donate some money to Freshfields. Please consider doing the same, I promise I won't be offended if I don't recieve a card.
Just think what that £5.00 you normally spend on a pack of cards (that ends up in the recycling bin a few days after Christmas) could do for an animal in need of care. It could provide food for a week for a cat or maybe go some way towards a vet's bill.
I'm sure that anything that you can give will make a difference.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
