Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving Page!

I'm sure you will be aware of the terrible situation in Syria and the humanitarian crisis that has emerged as a result of the civil war. Over the last few months public opinion has been divided in regard to how actively involved Britain should be in the effort to resettle the refugees and bring peace to the region as we try to grasp the vast scale of the tragedy. However, the heart-breaking image of Aylan Kurdi’s body washed up on a Turkish beach appears to have been a major turning point for both politicians and the media as well as those in homes up and down the country. It certainly was for me.

With the help of many generous friends, I will be hosting a Frozen Family Fun Day from 1pm on the 10th of October at Wesley Hall in Crookes, Sheffield. The event will be an enjoyable family day out in aid of Save the Children's Syrian Refugee Appeal with family tickets priced at £5, available on the door. There will be live performances from Queen Elsa & Princess Anna, face and nail painting, a raffle and bouncy castle as well as other stalls, activities and performances.

We truly believe this a cause worthy of all our support and I really hope you will join us in trying to make a positive difference to the lives of those worst affect by the terrible events that have plagued the region over the last couple of years.
