Story
March 2013 - After visiting my mum (Sue Hatton) in hospital yet another time after her illeostomy last July, I felt that I really wanted to do something to raise funds for the Colostomy Association, of which she is Chief Executive, although out of action since her operation. She has always worked so hard to get the best for other colostomates and to improve their lives through the helpline, improving information and care for patients, and Breakaway which funds holidays for children with colostomates, getting them together with other children in the same situation.
With 2 young children I don't really have time to train for a race (or if I'm honest the inclination!) but I do have a lot of great organising skills thanks to my mother and love a good party so thought a fundraising day in our local village hall would be a great way to bring everyone together for this cause (I'm also raising seperately for Children's Hospices UK).
Wroughton Fundraising Fete - Saturday 22nd June 2013
This page is for those of you who can't attend but would like to help in some way. Anything is appreciated.
Fingers crossed that my mum will be well enough to attend the Fete and man the Colostomy Association stand!
thanks,
Katy
