I really appreciate your support with this fantastic yet daunting opportunity! Ultra White Collar Boxing is an excellent organisation who have raised in excess of £4m for Cancer Research UK. This charity needs no introduction and every penny counts to support them with their continued life changing work!

I am currently on week 7 of my 8 week training camp with the fight night rapidly approaching on the 4th June. My training has gone really well to date, I have lost over a stone and have significantly improved my fitness levels. The boxing training was something totally new to me, I have never boxed previously and had no experience so this has been difficult transition (after all it's not a natural feeling being punched in the face)!! Nevertheless I feel as though my skills/technique and ability have all improved far better than I could have ever imagined and I'm now feeling that the fight is within my grasp. Throughout training I have maintained a zero alcohol intake (which has unfortunately included some key social dates i.e the last game of the rugby season and a friends stag do in Leeds to name but a few). My diet has been very good during camp, the main focus for me was to manage my carbohydrate intake whilst increasing my protein consumption, chicken, fish, eggs and tuna are my new best friend!

All in all I'm thoroughly enjoying this challenge....yes it has been exceptionally difficult and has impacted on my daily routines in a very big way. But all that aside I have met and trained with some fantastic people, improved my fitness, self esteem and most importantly I have raised an overwhelming amount of money for Cancer Research UK.

If you have not yet donated but are contemplating it, then I ask that you will a small amount really will make a big difference. The support I have received so far is hard to put into words and is very humbling.

Thanks again for your support!
