Palace to Palace 2017 · 1 October 2017 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Hi,

First of all thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 1st of October I will join the Palace to Palace cycling event from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. This will be my second P2P sportive however this year I wanted to go for a bigger challenge and registered for the 90 miles (~144km) race. Last year`s 45 miles were just fun and overwhelming feeling to arrive in Windsor Racecourse and meet all the HPE colleagues.

90 miles is a lot almost the double distance I cycled in one shot in the last 3 years. This means I need to start to practice and prepare myself physically and mentally....from NOW on!

On top of my individual training sessions (twice a week, please do not call me on Thursdays after 6pm GMT) the plan is to make some joint rides with Simon and Ben with whom we plan to absorb the 90 miles in team riding.

I will post regular update on the progress on my JustGiving page in return for your donation. All of your donation goes for the Prince`s Trust. They run a range of training programmes, providing mentoring support and offer financial grants to build the confidence and motivation of disadvantaged young people.

Thanks for your support and stay tuned for the next update!

Cheers,

Gabor
