Story
Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page. We'd love you to make a donation.
NB please remember to tick Gift Aid on your donation if you are a UK taxpayer - it means the charity is able to reclaim some of the money already taken by the taxman! (at no extra cost to you)
A team of 5 of us from Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB), Ed Jones, India Aldridge, Jerry Wickins, Vaughan Wickins and Jo Carlile, are heading out to Obuasi, Ghana on the 14th November for a Global Alpha Training (GAT) event. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten weeks and this is run in churches all over the world. The vision for the GAT programme is to "release Alpha expertise to train people in regions yet to run courses", and the event will cover training on how to run Alpha in the delegates' context, looking at ways to develop Alpha in Ghana.
Whilst in Ghana we plan to visit local schools and also one of the orphanages run by the charity Compassion.
The orphange is for children whose parents have died from illnesses, children who have been rescued after being trafficked as sex slaves or working slaves and children who were abandoned at birth, so we'd love your help in supporting us as we go to visit them. Thank you. If you would like to make a sparate donation to Compassion and their work, please email Ed directly on ed.jones.99@talk21.com and he will let you know how to do this,
We need to fundraise a fair bit to do all this... Thanks again - we do so appreciate your support!
