GEN Concert for villages in India · 10 October 2009

The GEN Initiative is a UK-registered charity working with the Indian-based charity, End Poverty (www.endpovertyindia.org), to enable some of India's most disadvantaged villagers - particularly the Meo tribe in the Alwar District of Rajasthan - to help themselves improve the quality of their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. GEN has been working with the Meo community in India where some of the poorest villagers live without basic facilities or social services on less than 50p a day. GEN works with people in the area to help them through grassroot projects that empower them to help themselves.

The Merchant Quartet (Strings) and Indian sitarist, Ramesh Chandra have offered their time and talent towards helping GEN raise money for the Meo community in north India. They will perform at a venue (on the website http://www.gen-initiative.org/) in West Hampstead on 10th October, 2009. Apart from tickets (as seats are limited) we are inviting you to make donations that will help GEN run these projects in India.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
