How difficult can it be to drive a 17 year old Citroen Saxo 1.1L with 59,500 + miles on the clock from Birmingham to Cape Town? 

I don't know but I'm going to find out as I set off on 25th September to do just that.

On route through Europe and Africa, I will be stopping to visit offices and projects of the Red Cross and Red Crescent to find out what they are involved in and how they see "The power of kindness" in their work each day.

The ICRC, International Committee of the Red Cross is a huge organisation that carries out humanitarian work all over the world, but locally each area carries out projects  for local communities too. I hope to give you an insight into their work all over the world. ..........Well OK just between Birmingham and Cape Town!!
