This year Susie will be running the Bath Half Marathon on 3rd March and Henry will be running the London Marathon on 21st April.  Not wanting to miss out, the children, along with granny and granddad, will also be doing the Family run at Bath on the 3rd March.

We’re doing this in support of I CAN, the children's communication charity who strive to ensure that no child who struggles with communication is left behind.

As many of you know this is an issue that means a huge amount to us. Our son Angus, who is nearly 6 years old, has a severe speech disorder and is unable to talk.  We cannot ever begin to imagine how difficult and daunting day to day living must be for him as he struggles to express himself – something we all take for granted.  Furthermore as his parents, we know how frustrating and demoralising it is to find the right professionals who can help you get the answers and advice you so desperately need, and how many wrong avenues you go down, on your journey.

 So we’re running to help all children who struggle to communicate, and in particular to help the families of those children find some of the answers.  Together we will run 42 miles – six months ago we’d have struggled to run for the bus!
