Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a slow, painful way to go - we lost a family friend in 2009 and we don't want anyone else to suffer that way. I ran the Great North Run in bare feet this year to draw attention to MND - 1 hr 53 mins 37 seconds which is a good time. For proof see http://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/time_to_reflect_for_great_north_runners_1_3789084

Thank-you very much for your generous donations - between us we're well on the way to raising the fundraising target. Please feel free to continue to donate after the event!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. If you don't feel secure giving money on the internet, please send a cheque to MNDA (or me) with my reference number 286192. Thanks so much for helping!
