Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Update 23/4/07
Well I did it and I've got the medal and T-shirt to prove it! (Photo to follow).
I did it in 4:59:41, a bit slow but the heat didn't help but blimey it was hard work, there were several moments when I really didn't think I would make it. The fantastic crowds and the thought of many of you supporting me pushed me on. Thank you very much for supporting me and the Prostate Cancer Charity who have also been brilliant.
But the fundraising goes on and we still have a Band night and charity auction on 8th June at Colwall village Hall, tickets available soon. Also a pub quiz, details to follow. So please continue to donate.
Running the London marathon has been a long standing ambition of mine and last year my mate Dave Sutton persuaded me to go for it. I have completed the Great North Run in 2006 and 2007 but this is a real step up for me.
I hope to raise £2000 for the Prostate Cancer Charity, a charity which means so much to my family. I am determined to do my best on the day as well as in preparation and training.
Unfortunately Dave became 'injured' in training and has had to defer to next year! (very convenient, some might say!). However instead of running the marathon Dave has decided to do a 5- mile sponsored swim at Malvern Splash (that's 320 lengths!) on the 18th April also raising funds for the prostate cancer charity, you can visit his Just giving web site at :

I am truly grateful that you have bothered to visit my fundraising page and hope that you will decide to dontate what you can to this most deserving cause. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
