Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. This is why we have chosen to support Mind - The Mental Health Charity:
It is also a very sad fact that most of us will know at least one person who has committed suicide following a period of poor mental health. A lot of us will admit to have not even known that this person was suffering from poor mental health before they took their own life. That's because people are ashamed to admit it, or feel embarrassed to talk about it. And it's not only those who are suffering who don't like to talk about mental health; it can include their friends, families and work colleagues who can shy away from the difficult conversation, even when they suspect there may be an issue.
We have chosen to support Mind in order to raise awareness of mental health issues. By being aware of the signs that someone is suffering from poor mental health, maybe we can reach out and help those who are ashamed, embarrassed or simply too proud to ask for help. Please visit their website to learn more.
As with most charities, Mind rely heavily on donations from people like you.
All donations no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.
