Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

On the 2nd of September, the current GUU Executive - Davey Lockhart, Gavin Tulloch and Robbie Warke - are going to quash any rumours regarding the physical state of GU Board Members and undertake the ULTIMATE physical challenge - the 10k.

We will be running in the Great Scottish Run at Glasgow Green. We all lead fairly hedonistic lifestyles, so physical exertion does not come easily. We've been putting in the hours though and training over the summer, and we're almost certain we can do it without losing consciousness.

We will be raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Two of Davey's cousins suffer from the disease, so it is a cause that is particularly close to our hearts.

If we're going to manage to tackle our Everest however, we need some sponsorship to ensure that we don't pull out at the last minute with 'injuries'. It'd therefore be great if you could sponsor us via our Just Giving link at the bottom. Even if you can only spare £1, please take the time to donate. Every donation makes that bit of a difference, and helps us to remember that any time we spend in the Stevie isn't time squandered.
