My dear friend Nicole has been actively involved with Barretstown (http://www.barretstown.org/) for a while and is now running her 1st ever event for them. Out of solidarity, and very impressed by this fantastic cause, I have decided to join her in this endeavour.

"Barretstown improves the lives of children and their families affected by childhood cancer and other serious illness, rebuilding their confidence, trust, self-esteem through therapeutic recreation"

First event was the London Triathlon on the 2nd of August, where my 2h48 were quite good considering I struggled with leaky goggles at the start of the swim, I didn't really get to train on my bike, and probably because of that got terrible cramps on my thighs when started the run!

Run to the Beat Half-Marathon in Greenwich on September 27th is our main Barretstown fundraising event and fast approaching! In a few weeks time, I will also be doing the New York City Marathon on November the 1st.
