2017 Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon · 24 September 2017 ·

We're raising money for the Children's Brain Tumour Research Centre at The University of Nottingham to create a brighter future for children with brain tumours.

Story

I am taking on a race each month between April and October to build up towards my first half marathon ever, in order to raise funds for the Children's Brain Tumour Research. All children deserve a chance to grow up and live fulfilled lives, and this is worth running a few miles any day.

My first challenge was the Notts Varsity Triathlon on 2 April (completed in 1;27:11). I then plan to run a range of 10k races each month to run 100k in advance of the Half Marathon in September.

So far, I have done the Longhorn 10k on 23 April, the Chatsworth 10k on 7 May, The BeestonAC 5 mile on 24 May and the Nottingham 10k on 28 May which left me with a sprained ankle. I completed the Race for Life Nottingham 10k on Sunday 5 June. Next up, Grimsthorpe 10 Mile on June 25th.
