In December, I will be climbing Kilimanjaro with Martina Navratilova for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.

My life has been transformed by sport and I'm thrilled to be doing this for a charity that makes such an impact to children's lives around the world through sporting projects - this is even more important to me this year as I have become a mum for the first time.

It's also a real thrill for me to be joining Martina on this expedition. This is something that I have always wanted to do and I see it as the chance of a lifetime. This is an amazing undertaking by an amazing woman. Her whole life has been an expression of determination, both in sport and in her personal life, so I am not at all surprised after the trauma of breast cancer that she is coping with it by staging this remarkable climb up Mt Kilimanjaro. She is getting on with her life and I am honoured to be part of her team and raise money for Laureus at the same time.
